‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ Renewed For Third Season

The EGOT winner’s self-titled talk show has been picked up for a third season.
 

The Jennifer Hudson Show has been renewed for a third season by Fox Television Stations. According to The Hollywood ReporterHearst Television also renewed the JHUD productions joint venture with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Telepictures.

Channing Dungey, chair and CEO of the Warner Bros. Television Group said in a released statement about the renewal:

“Jennifer is a rare talent, both in front of and behind the camera. Her enthusiasm and endearing demeanor radiates from the stage and onto television screens everywhere. It’s no wonder her audience continues to skyrocket. We are so proud of the entire Jennifer Hudson Show team for their amazing success, and we look forward to another year full of exciting moments, engaging conversations, and stellar guests. “

The Jennifer Hudson Show in its second season averaged 4.4 million total P2+ weekly viewers on average and has seen impressive increases in social media traffic by fans. The series like other daytime talk shows was disrupted by the Hollywood writers strike last year, which including postponing its second-season premiere.

Hudson excitedly shared the news on her show. “You know everyday is special, first, lets be clear, alright? But today is an extra-special day here at the Happy Place!”

“I want to start by saying I love it here. I love your energy. Each and every day, when I get to come through these doors and see all of these beautiful faces and your energy and your spirits, it lifts me up just as much as I hope that I lift you up when I come out here.

The host went on to say that she loves having guests who are passionate. She added that she relishes in getting to meet people, hear their stories and spread positivity.

“I love celebrating and that’s all we want to do at the Happy Place.”

“So I am so excited to announce that we’re going to be able to do that because The Jennifer Hudson show is going to have, it’s third season!”

Hudson earned six Daytime Emmy Awards nomination last year, and was named outstanding host in a talk or news/information series at the 2023 NAACP Image Awards. “We are already dreaming up bigger dreams for Season 3 and I can’t wait to share them with you!” Hudson said in her own statement.
