Kevin Hart was under a lot of scrutiny after a series of homophobic and offensive tweets surfaced online from 2008. Once they became public, Hart was given an ultimatum of either apologizing or back out of hosting the Oscars.
Hart not only backed out of hosting but he also issued an apology. Amidst all of the backlash, Ellen Degeneres chimed in on behalf of Hart claiming that his tweets were things of the past and that they didn’t reflect the man that he is today.
Kevin Hart appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show earlier this week to address the situation surrounding his tweets.
