The date has been set and The Wendy Williams Show is officially coming to an end.
It has been decided that the show will air its last episode on Friday, June 17th. We reported that the show was originally supposed to run until the end of the season with a number of hosts in rotation since Williams was away focusing on her health.
Allegedly, Williams will not be in attendance for the final episode, however, a video will play paying tribute to the host. A rep for the show released a statement about the final episode.
“The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday, June 17th, with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication.”
The Wendy Williams Show was one of the longest-running programs for the Fox and Debmar-Mercury network. The show launched in 2008 as a limited test run but went on to become the first nationally syndicated hit show for the Fox Stations.
