Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears have been hit with a lawsuit after being accused of child sexual abuse.
According to reports, the lawsuit was filed by two anonymous plaintiffs accusing both comedians of recruiting them to partake in indecent acts of a sexual nature during their comedy sketches that were filmed in 2013 and 2014. The plaintiffs were allegedly 14 and 7 during the time of the incidents.
The lawsuit states that there are eight complaints against both Haddish and Spears citing intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent supervision, constructive fraud, sexual battery, gross negligence, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor.
Haddish’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, has denied all allegations in a statement. “Plaintiff’s mother… has been trying to assert these bogus claims against Ms. Haddish for several years. Every attorney who has initially taken on her case and there were several ultimately dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were merciless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, [the mother] has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit. The two of them will together face the consequences of pursuing this frivolous action.”
Reports also stated that two of the children who have claimed sexual abuse are the children of Haddish’s former friend.
