Singer Tina Turner shares that her Husband, Erwin Bach, donated his kidney to her as she was in need for a kidney transplant.

In an up-coming autobiography, Turner mentions that she suffered from a kidney disease.

Turner says she was “shocked” that her husband wanted to give her one of his kidneys. She also mentions that she was “overwhelmed by the enormity of his offer.”

Tina and Erwin got married in 2013, after 27 years together and after the surgery Tina says she felt “happy, overwhelmed and relieved that we’d come through this alive.”

Aside from the autobiography coming out, we mentioned that Tina’s musical will make it’s Broadway debut next year.

The memoir, My Love Story: Tina Turner, encourages people to sign up to donate organs because you never know whose life you could be saving.
