Travis McMichael Sentenced To Life In Prison For Federal Hate Crime In Death Of Ahmaud Arbery

Travis McMichael, one of Ahmaud Arbery's killers has been sentenced to life in prison for federal hate crimes. According to reports, McMichael was sentenced by a U.S. District Court judge. Earlier this year, he was also sentenced to life without parole in Georgia state court for Arbery’s death along with his father, Greg McMichael, and their neighbor William Bryan, who will both receive their sentencing later on today, (Monday, August 8th). We reported that on February 23, 2020, the father and son duo chased Arbery in a pickup truck with their guns in hand. Bryan later joined the chase in his own truck and recorded a video on his cellphone of Travis shooting Arbery with his shotgun.During the investigation, it was reported to the police that Ahmaud Arbery was a suspected burglar, however, he was unarmed and had no criminal history.Stay tuned for updates as this is a developing story.
