Vanessa Bryant can finally put the legal battle between her and Los Angeles County behind her.
She recently won the settlement for $28.85 million over the photos that were taken at the helicopter crash site where Kobe and Gianna Bryant were killed along with seven other passengers.
It was previously reported that Vanessa won $15million in federal court with her initial lawsuit against L.A. county.
Her lawyer, Luis Li released a statement about the settlement, “Today marks the successful culmination of Mrs. Bryant’s courageous battle to hold accountable those who engaged in this grotesque conduct. She fought for her husband, her daughter, and all those in the community whose deceased family were treated with similar disrespect. We hope her victory at trial and this settlement will put an end to this practice.”
When she won her first settlement, Vanessa stated that the settlement money would be donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. It is not sure if she will be doing the same with this settlement.
