Renaissance woman Vanessa Williams is one busy lady, but she showed WBLS some love this week when she stopped by the studio to speak with our New York Sweetheart, Shaila.

In true Shaila tradition, Williams and our Sweetheart played a rousing game of “60 Seconds,” and the Jill of All Trades shared some of her favorite things to do during her downtime and memories with her parents that she’ll never forget.

Aside from spilling the tea on her obsession with Real Housewives of Atlanta, Williams let us know she has a new TV pilot with ABC on the way called Happy Accident, where she plays a singer from Pittsburgh. And for those who don’t know, the Tony, Emmy, and Oscar winner has launched a scholarship at her alma mater – Syracuse University – for Black and Latino students studying visual and performing arts.

“[The scholarship] offers them financial support in addition to leadership and mentoring programs, and allows them to get the support they need to graduate,” says Williams. “We’ve got over 50 students this year, and we’re hoping to grow to 100 scholarship recipients.”

And for those Vanessa Williams fans wondering when she’ll hit the stage again, the wait is over! Williams will be performing all of her hits next Wednesday, Apr. 24 at the Schomburg Center in Harlem (135th and Lenox) from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
