CBS 2 is obtained footage of the two men linked to the attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett buying MAGA hats and ski masks from a store the before the assault.
According to CBS Chicago, “The video shows what appears to be Ola and Abel Osundairo placing the masks and a hat on the counter. Smollett has claimed two men wearing a similar hat and masks attacked him on Jan 29 in Streetville, according to police. CBS 2’s Charlie De Mar made multiple phone calls and visited several stores to obtain the video.”
The two brothers were arrested and immediately after without charges.
According to sources, the two are alleging that they helped stage the whole attack along with Smollett. They were paid $3,500 to pour bleach and tie a rope around the actor’s neck.
As of currently, Jussie has denied staging this attack. And FOX recently released a statement denying rumors that his role was minimized.
“Jussie Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on set and as we have previously stated, he is not being written out of the show.”
