TV personality and comedian, Wayne Brady, has come out as pansexual.
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE, he shared some insight on his sexual orientation and why he felt this was the right time to share with fans.
“To me, pan means being able to be attracted to anyone who identifies as gay, straight, bi, transsexual or non-binary. Being able to be attracted across the board. And, I think, at least for me for right now, that is the proper place,” Brady said to the outlet. “I took pan to mean that not only can I be attracted to any of these people or types physically, but I could be attracted to the person that is there.”
He is not the only celebrity who identifies as pansexual. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Janelle Monae shared insight on her sexuality.
“I read about pansexuality and was like, ‘Oh, these are things that I identify with too,’” she said. Although she didn’t officially come out as pansexual, she identifies as queer and with some aspects of pansexuality.
Singer, Kehlani has also shared with the public that she in pansexual. In a thread of now-deleted tweets, she explained.
“cuz I keep getting asked… I’m queer. not bi, not straight. I’m attracted to women, men REALLY attracted to queer men, non-binary people, intersex people, trans people. Lil poly pansexual papi hello good morning. does that answer your questions?”
