Wendy Williams’ son, Kevin Hunter, Jr., pled not guilty before a judge this morning following his physical altercation with his father, Kevin Hunter, Sr. last month.

For those who may not remember, Kevin, Jr. was arrested May 22 for punching his father in the face after Kevin, Sr. allegedly put him in a headlock in a familial parking lot brawl. Kevin, Sr. told TMZ, “I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear.”

Though Wendy and her estranged husband were present at the courthouse, Kevin, Jr. and his lawyer were the only ones to appear before the judge.

According to TMZ, Wendy and Kevin, Sr. waited in a car outside the courthouse because the case was going to be continued to a later date.

The prosecutor said, “The state needs some additional time to review some factors involved as we would with any type of case like this.” He went on to say he believes the case will be resolved by the next court date.

As for Wendy and Kevin, the talk show host says, “There’s still love between us, regardless of the divorce.”
