Wendy Williams’ tapped Nick Cannon to take over her show during her indefinite hiatus, but the decision isn’t sitting well with her staff.
A staff member exclusively opened up to Daily Mail, harping on the fact that Wendy has been mum on her condition, but willfully shared her struggles with a man she said has an “Oops baby.”
“[Wendy’s] made a fortune from tearing people down, but keeps her own life a secret,” the staff member said. Then angrily continued, “Many of us have been here since the early days, and it’s a complete joke to be kept in the dark like this.” The staff member angrily continued, “How could she be so selfish? We all rely on this paycheck.”
Another staff member also held nothing back when addressing Cannon’s presence on the show. “I mean, please. Imagine if this was another celebrity living their life like she does. She’d be sipping the tea and talking about it on Hot Topics every damn day. She’s such a hypocrite.”
According to the Daily Mail, the complaints about Wendy’s actions regarding Cannon and the status of her health went on and on.
“She managed to keep the real reason for her absence a secret, however, you can’t leak something that no one knows.” This staffer then went on to say “She’ll allegedly pick up the phone for Nick Cannon, but she can’t tell us what is going on.”
While it’s clear many of the staff have an issue with Wendy’s decision, fans and social media followers are confused too. Why? Because Wendy threw shade at Cannon’s new baby just a few months back, calling him an “Oops baby.”
