Will Smith is currently checking a few things off his bucket list, including stand-up.
Seen on his new Facebook show, Will Smith’s Bucket List, the Philadelphia native decided to try performing stand-up. We know Smith as a comedy and actor for many years, this is his very first time performing comedy on stage in front of an audience. He opened up for the iconic Dave Chappelle.
Before Smith went got on stage, he got advice from none other than Dave Chappelle himself. Chappelle said, “the first thing I’ll tell you is confidence is key. The reason you should be confident is primarily because you’re Will Smith… I’ve been watching you for years; you’re actually a funny dude. I’ve spoken to you before, you’re a great conversationalist.” He then told Smith to pick topics that the people can relate to.
Chappelle also offered Smith this piece of advice, “you don’t have to be funny all the time, just interesting. “
Thank you, Dave!
