This week Mo’Nique announced that she will be suing Netflix for race-based discrimination in reference to the negotiation that went wrong regarding a potential Netflix comedy special.
Netflix has responded to Mo’Nique’s claims and will fight the lawsuit. Here is what they had to say:
“We care deeply about inclusion, equity and diversity and take any accusations of discrimination very seriously… We believe our opening offer to Mo’Nique was fair — which is why we will be fighting this lawsuit.”
