A woman by the name of Alicia Renee Newby is being accused of stealing people’s identities, one including Taraji P Henson.
According to Chicago Tribune:
Newby allegedly collected thousands of dollars in merchandise using fake addresses. The Cook County Police Department and financial crime unit investigated Newby and found that she had acquired more than $12,000 in fraudulent transactions, $4,000 of which was flagged by Henson’s management last year.
She scammed JP Morgan Chase, Paypal, and American Express and has a list of identity theft and fraudulent cases. Authorities say Newby skipped out on rent and leftover thousands in damage.
Newby is currently being charged with “continuing a financial crime enterprise.
