After winning a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2019 BET Awards, Mary has more good news.
The Oscar-nominated actress signed a first-look deal with Lionsgate. According to a report, the contract gives Lionsgate first dibs on whatever Blige and her company create.
The TV shows will be created/produced through her Blue Butterfly company. The article also says she’ll have the opportunity to produce content for other Lionsgate projects.
The Queen of Hip Hop and RnB said she’s excited to be working with the company.
“They are incredible collaborators and have been natural partners from when we first started talking. I can’t wait to bring all of our projects to life.”
