Colin Kaepernick has a new business venture and this time it’s set for the kids.
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is set to release children’s books under his publishing company, Kaepernick Publishing. His debut project, I Color Myself Different is set to hit bookshelves in April 2022.
The 40-page book will tell the story of Colin Kaepernick’s childhood after being adopted by a white family. The focus of the book will be when he decided to “put down the yellow crayon he had been using to draw his family and picking up the brown crayon for himself.”
Scholastic described the book to be “a joyful ode to Black and Brown lives based on real events in young Colin’s life.”
