Singer Johnny Mathis has announced his retirement from performing.
The 89-year-old shared a statement on his Facebook page. “While there are still some exciting concerts coming up, regrettably, all Johnny Mathis concerts from June 2025 onwards are now cancelled.”

His website states that the singer has four concerts left of his 2025 Voice of Romance tour before he retires. He was set to perform in New Jersey, Indiana, California, and Pennsylvania with his final show set for May 18. Due to the canceled shows, refunds will be made through the original point of purchase.
“Johnny Mathis & his entire staff send their heartfelt gratitude to all Mathis Fans worldwide for your continued love & support of his music! It’s truly been ‘Wonderful, Wonderful,’” the statement concluded.
He is known for his songs, “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late,” “What Will My Mary Say,” “Misty,” and more. Throughout his career, he has earned five Grammy nominations and was awarded The Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.
