Rondell Sheridan, best known for his role of Victor Baxter in the Disney Channel sitcom That’s So Raven, is facing a health challenge that leaves him unable to work.
According to Sheridan, he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a condition that demands rest until the inflammation subsides.
The 66-year-old provided the details of his condition in a minute-long clip posted to his Instagram. “Hey friends, it’s Rondell Sheridan here,” he began. “On April 10th, I was in the road and got sick. They thought it was gastric. I got home on the 12th and immediately went to the hospital at North Ridge. I was told it’s pancreatitis. Tons of tests. I was in the hospital for nine days. I got released and thought I was on the road to recovery but… my pancreas is inflamed.”
A GoFundMe Link has been shared for fans to donate to his medical bills. To date, $24k has been collected with a goal of $35k. “I didn’t realize I will be out of work for quite some time. I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help with some of my medical bills and just expenses. If you have anything that you could donate, I’d gladly appreciate it. Thank you so much,” he said.
Fans and celebrities dropped in the comments with an outpour of support. “Get well soon Mr.Baxter. One of my favorite Disney Channel Dads,” one user wrote. Actor Orlando Jones wrote, “Get well soon fam”.
