It’s the end of an era for Marc Daly’s restaurant, SoCo in Brooklyn.

It’s been reported that the restaurant has permanently closed its doors. Daly, Kenya Moore’s ex-husband, quietly shut the restaurant down at the end of 2024. He rebranded the business’s Instagram page to a new company called “Pulse Media.”

Daly confirmed last year that he was going to close the restaurant. Photos show that there are bright orange for lease signs in the windows. It’s being speculated that the close comes after it was revealed that Daly was having financial issues.

It was learned that he was facing eviction from his Brooklyn apartment and that he owed almost $10,000 in unpaid rent on various properties. He also shared on his Instagram account that he will officially be leaving Brooklyn.

“Goodbye, Brooklyn. You will always be my hometown!” he wrote. “It is with a full heart that I announce the closure of Soco. After 15 years of serving our wonderful community, it’s time for me to explore a new adventure in media, so I move onward and upward.”

In another post, he seemingly revealed that he will be bringing his coffee business to Atlanta, which is good because he will be closer to his daughter, Brooklyn, whom he shares with ex-wife, Kenya Moore. Daly is currently paying $2000 a month in child support to Moore.

We wish Marc Daly the best in his future endeavors.
