Four months after finalizing her divorce, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams said she is now dating both a man and a woman. She made the announcement during a panel at CultureCon in Brooklyn on Oct. 5.

A New Chapter

Williams, 44, told the audience she had “narrowed it down to two” people. “He is nice and she is nice,” she said. She added that both individuals are “normal people” — not narcissists.

She reflected on her past relationships, suggesting she struggled to open emotionally when her partners had narcissistic traits. “I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists,” she told the crowd. “And guess what narcissists do? They love bomb you. They do everything. They look perfect. They mirror you.”

Williams said the two suitors stand out because they challenge her, ask questions, and “are not letting me walk over them.” She added she is still cautious. “I’m not feeling safe enough to open up yet,” she said.

She also commented on her own approach shifting. “If you want something different, you have to also be different,” she said. “I have to soften up a bit. I have to not expect a whole lot of elaborate things. I have to expect someone to call me out from time to time.”

Williams finalized her divorce from Simon Guobadia in June 2025. Their marriage, which began in late 2022, ended amid contentious revelations about his legal challenges. Guobadia was deported to Nigeria following immigration and fraud issues.

Earlier this year, Williams told People magazine she planned to take a break from dating until she felt whole again. “I’m going to be alone until I’m whole,” she said. “Then I will open myself back up so I don’t make the same mistake again.”

Her new remarks at CultureCon mark her first public confirmation of romantic interest in a woman. In interviews earlier this summer, she hinted at the possibility. She said at the time: “Do I like women enough? Can I get with a woman? Who can come in and fill this void?”

Williams has not revealed the identities of her new suitors. Representatives for Williams and Guobadia have not responded to requests for comment.

Public reaction has varied. Some fans praised her candor and vulnerability, while others expressed surprise after years of speculation about her personal life. Either way, Williams’ announcement signals a more open and exploratory phase in her post-divorce life.
