Sportscaster Pam Oliver drew concern from NFL fans on Oct 19 during the Eagles vs. Vikings game. The FOX Sports sideline reporter, 64, was seen giving updates that sounded slow and slurred. Her delivery sparked worry across social media.

With over 40 years in the news industry, Oliver has professionally developed her craft as a reporter. However, during Week 7, fans were quick to notice her slurred words and struggles on the microphone. The concern was evident from fans, as one wrote, “Is Pam Oliver ok? Her speech sounds slurred.”

After the game (which the Eagles won 28-22), Pam seemed to slur her words while speaking with Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.

Pam’s symptoms triggered fears among fans that she suffered a stroke.

A stroke occurs when blood flow to a part of the brain is blocked or the blood vessel bursts, which can be fatal.

She also troubled fans during an interview with  Aaron Rodgers following the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the Vikings in Ireland.

Oliver began her broadcasting journalist career at WALB in Albany, Georgia in 1985 as a news reporter.

In 1990, she was promoted to sports anchor at WTVT in Tampa, Florida.

In 1993, she joined ESPN before moving to Fox Sports in 1995, where she worked as a sideline reporter at NBA games.

After covering the NBA playoffs for TNT from 2005 to 2009, Fox moved Oliver to the NFL sideline where she works as part of the No. 2 broadcasting team.

Oliver has earned widespread respect from her peers for her NFL sideline reporting.
