West Coast rap veterans, Ice-T, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and N.W.A. founding member Arabian Prince—are joiningforces to produce Tehk City, a gritty new animated action series.
According to All Hip-Hop, the show is set in a harsh near-future penal colony where “every choice is life or death, chaos reigns and only the ruthless survive,” offering a bold new vision for adult animation. The aesthetic of the show is based on the distinctive style of Tommy The Animator who is the co-creator alongside rapper-actor Ice-T.
“I just wanted to bring something new to animation that’s never been seen before, coming from the mind of a black creator out of the projects of the Upper West Side of Manhattan,” said Ice-T.
“Tehk City is one of those rare projects that came together through the collaboration of an exceptional team,” added Ambitious Entertainment’s Shaw, whose credits include The Hurt Locker and Blood Ties. “We’re creating a world only animation could capture, where morality is a luxury and the visual style is as fierce as the story itself.”
Snoop Dogg will play Pretty Black, Arabian Prince will take on the role of Kenyatta Prince, while Ice-T will voice Mayor Chuck Davis.
Tehk City is based on the graphic novel Death for Hire: The Origin of Tehk City, which first introduced the gritty underworld that the animated series will now expand. The story follows complex characters navigating power, loyalty, and betrayal in a crime-ridden city — with a soundtrack that reflects hip-hop’s raw edge.
Ambitious Entertainment plans a multi-platform launch for “Tehk City” in 2026, bringing together artists who have shaped Hip-Hop culture for over 30 years.
