Victoria Monét is one of the most beloved singer/songwriters on the R&B scene. But she recently revealed that she’s also passionate about cooking.
Taking to her Instagram, Monét shared that she is halfway done culinary school.
“Some of you might be wondering why I’m in a chef uniform — and I’ll tell you why: I started culinary school. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do,” Monét said.
Monét explains that being a chef has “been a lifelong dream” of hers.
“I’ve been super passionate about recipes that you can pass down from generation to generation and how food makes people feel when they’re communing together,” the Grammy-winning singer added.
“So, please join me on this journey for culinary,” Monét continued. “I’m excited to learn with you guys.”
Monét also explained that she’ll share weekly recipes as part of “Saucy Sundays.”
She also went on to reassure fans that she’s still in the studio “cooking” up her next project.
And I promise I am in the studio everyday, still cooking my album,” Monét said. “I will show you how my days are laid out soon!
In a recent interview, Monét told Ciara that she’s “trying to make a Thriller next, Michael Jackson’s classic follow-up to Off the Wall.
“I just really want the best vocals,” Monét said. “My creative process for my album has changed a little bit.”
Monét then said that Ciara deserves more flowers for her immense accomplishments.
I want to give you your flowers. Because I do not feel like the world is giving them to you enough,” Monét said. ?We’ve given you flowers, but you need more flowers. More flowers.”
“From the Ace hat all the way to the motherhood hat to the wife hat to the God-fearing woman hat. She described Ciara’s journey as “so beautiful.”
