Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have enlisted Martha Stewart as a brand partner on “Still G.I.N”.
The hip hop duo launched Still G.I.N in October 2024, with the name being a play on their classic record “Still D.R.E”.
In February last year, the pair released a canned ready-to-drink range called Gin & Juice.
This year, they’ve tapped Stewart, a lifestyle specialist, writer and television host, & a longtime friend of Snoop Dogg to help promote the gin brand while also creating signature cocktail recipes.
The businesswoman created her first signature cocktail for the brand: the Water Melly, described as an elevated take on the classic gin and juice.
In a press release, Stewart said: “I think gin has to have a superior flavor. It has to be smooth and not intrusive on your senses. Still G.I.N is so flavourful and so aromatic. It’s my go-to spirit now and I use it in cocktails where I might have used something else before. It’s just that versatile and good.”
The Water Melly blends fresh watermelon juice, gin, lime juice, cucumber bitters, and cane syrup, offering a refreshing and sophisticated option for any gathering.
A press release from the brand noted, “The ultra-premium spirit’s exceptional drinkability and mixability inspired her to experiment extensively, developing creative cocktail recipes that showcase the gin’s versatility across seasons and occasions.”
Stewart and Snoop Dogg first linked up on her cooking show in 2008 and have formed a close friendship over the years since, also appearing in commercials together and collaborating on a cookbook, among other endeavours.
Stewart added that Snoop has been an unexpected source of guidance.
“He really talks a lot about gin, so you kind of pick up things here and there,” she told PEOPLE. “What I’ve learned is how incredibly adaptable Still G.I.N. is. It works in every cocktail I make now, both classic and contemporary. That’s been the revelation.”
