Blac Chyna, is taking accountability for her former modeling endeavors, calling the decision “not Godly.”
Chyna, formerly Angela White, stopped by Devon Franklin‘s YouTube series ‘Food For Thought,’ for a candid conversation about her time as an OnlyFans model.
OnlyFans (OF) is a subscription based platform used by influencers, fitness trainers, and musicians, but it is primarily known for hosting adult content.
“That’s not godly”
The mom of two shared that seeing others praise her success as an OF model made her grapple with the moral burden of her decisions.
“It just really took me being truthful to myself: with the lifestyle that I was living, the things that I was doing, how I was affecting people in a positive way or a negative way, like the influence and all of that,” White said.
“I had to take a step back and think about, for example: if I’m doing OnlyFans and people are seeing that I’m making so much money: that’s gonna influence them to wanna go and do OnlyFans,” White said regrettably. “The backlash of that is God—that’s not a good thing, that’s not godly. So when I’m being judged, I have to speak up and take accountability for me leading people to destruction.”
Her decision to start open an account
It was rumored that Chyna brought in earned $240 million on the platform in 2021, making her one of the platforms highest-earning content creators.
But she later clarified with Forbes, that that number was closer to $2 million within a two year span. “I opened it in 2020, so right when the pandemic had hit. I had opened it [the OF account] because I was like ‘Oh my gosh, what’s about to happen?’”
When Franklin asked why she joined OF in the first place, White admitted that the decision to join was solely for financial motives. Because of mounting legal pressures, she explains that it was a quick way to pay off legal fees.
“I was in a really big lawsuit,” White, 37, said, presumably talking about her Kardashian-Jenner defamation lawsuit. “All that stuff, it ain’t cheap, and I had to tee up. So I was like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna just do this OnlyFans, and if somebody don’t like it, they just don’t like it.’”
Her fear of content leaking
White told Franklin, another reason she quit was her fear of the content she made being exposed. “It was always like that scary thing like, somebody’s going to expose whatever it is that I’m posting. So, I was very mild with the things that I was posting.”
The model also told Jason Lee, in a previous interview, that she did not want her kids growing up and stumbling across her explicit content.
While OnlyFans content is aimed to be exclusive, there is no way to ensure it stays on the platform.
Since surrendering the exotic model lifestyle, White has taken several steps to lock in to her new journey. She had breast and butt reduction surgery and her facial filler dissolved. For her 34th birthday, she got baptized, calling it a rebirth. And she revealed that she’s on a sobriety journey.
Chyna has two children – King, 13, with rapper Tyga, and Dream, 9, with Rob Kardashian.
