Neo-soul duo Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie Stewart are reuniting ten years after their last live circuit together.
On February 11, the divas announced that they’ll be hitting the road this spring for their “Say Yes: The Tour.”
The tour name takes it’s title from “Say Yes,” the biggest single of Floetry’s career. Joining the songbirds will be Raheem DeVaughn, Teedra Moses (in select cities), DJ Aktive and host Clint Coley.
Produced by the Black Promoters Collective, the tour is branded as “a celebration and a revival—an opportunity for audiences to experience Floetry’s music as it was always intended: live, intimate, and emotionally immersive.”
The neosoul tour will see 17 North American cities in total. It kicks off in Newark on April 9, before heading to Philadelphia, Baltimore, D.C., Durham, Jacksonville, Houston and Phoenix, to name a few cities. Their journey will end on the West Coast in Oakland on May 17th.
The “Say Yes” tour will have the ladies reprise their roles as The Songstress and The Floacist.
Ambrosius and Stewart emerged in the mid-’90s as songwriters in demand, eventually becoming the creative brains behind some of R&B’s biggest hits. The pairs’ songwriting shines through most notably on Michael Jackson’s “Butterflies.” They have also written tracks for Jill Scott, Glenn Lewis, and Bilal.
Presale for tickets start today at 10 a.m. local time (use the password “BPC” for access). General ticket sales begin tomorrow Friday, February 13th at 10 a.m. local time. Visit the Black Promoters Collective’s website for links to purchase for every city.
