Mary Mary singer Trecina “Tina” Campbell is reporting a significant monthly financial deficit as her divorce proceedings from Glendon “Teddy” Campbell continue to unfold in court.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 52-year-old gospel star claims she earns less than half of what she spends on monthly living expenses. The “Shackles (Praise You)” singer stated in her filing that she works approximately 20 hours per week, generating a monthly income of roughly $4,976.
However, she listed her total monthly expenditures at $11,933, leaving a gap of nearly $7,000 between her earnings and her lifestyle costs. The detailed financial breakdown reveals that rent is Campbell’s largest single expense at $4,100 per month. Other significant costs include $2,200 for utilities, $1,800 for groceries and household supplies, and $1,308 for automotive expenses. The singer also noted monthly spending of $400 on charitable contributions, $266 for health care, and $208 for her cell phone bill.
Regarding her estranged husband, Tina estimated that Teddy, who works as a drummer, earns about $7,500 per month. The couple married in August 2000 and spent more than two decades together before the relationship fractured. While Teddy’s initial divorce petition filed in April 2026 listed their separation date as June 2024, Tina’s filing claims the couple split earlier, in August 2024. The legal battle also involves the couple’s two minor children, a 16-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter.
Tina has requested both legal and physical custody of the children, suggesting that Teddy be granted visitation rights. The couple also shares three adult children from their long-term marriage. In terms of financial support, Tina has asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party. This contrasts with Teddy’s original filing, which requested that the court reserve the right to determine spousal support at a later date.
Both parties have indicated that there are no community or separate property assets that currently require division by the court.
