Shamari DeVoe, a former cast member of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and wife of Ronnie DeVoe, is working as a nurse extern while completing her Masters of Science (MSN) per SandraRose.com.
The 45-year old posted a video dressed in scrubs, enthusiastic as she embarks into what she described as a major new chapter.
“I am going to my first day of orientation,” the Blaque singer said in the video. “I feel really great… Things are looking up. Got a job at a hospital as a nurse extern.”

The television personality previously shared with her followers that she was back in school in video on January 23rd.
“Grinding privately, glowing publicly. Nursing school in progress. Master’s in motion,” the caption read. “Countdown to graduation officially on.”
Earlier this month, DeVoe opened up about her experience in nursing school clinicals. She added that she completed CNA school as well as clinicals at a nursing home previously.
“This experience reinforced the importance of treating every patient with dignity, respect, and love as if they were my own family members,” she concluded.

DeVoe’s latest move was met with a large volume of support from her fans.
“Shamari obtained her Bachelors degree years ago. So this move isn’t surprising. Go head Shamari!!,” Anjanette Curtis wrote on X.
Another user praised the Bring It On actress for branching off to pursue a career away from entertainment.

Critics, specifically those in the medical field, wondered how DeVoe could be soon graduating with a MSN on a seemingly fast timeline.
X user Yogiflowz wrote, “Lmaoooooo. A masters in nursing is a 6-year degree. Not one you graduate from this summer and it’s February. Looooooool. I should know. I’m an OR nurse with a masters in nursing. She can be a CNA by this summer though. That’s a 3-5 month certificate.”
In 2013, DeVoe graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology. The mother of twins has been married to Ronnie DeVoe since 2006. In Decmeber 2014, she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.
