Jonathan Majors is reportedly making his comeback to the big screen.

Per the Los Angeles Times, Majors is starring in an untitled movie produced by The Daily Wire, the conservative outlet co-founded by Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boreing. The film is rumored to be in production in South Carolina.

While details on the project are tightly underwraps, the film takes inspiration from “80s and ’90s action movies ‘Red Dawn’ and ‘Toy Soldiers,’ acccording to Deadline. In addition to starring in the film, Majors will also serve as an executive producer, the entertainment outlet reported.

“You’re not going to BELIEVE what we’re doing,” right-wing pundit Shaprio said in a Thursday post on X sharing the news. On Facebook he claimed, “This movie is going to be WILD.”

This is believed to be Majors’ first movie since being found guilty of assaulting and harassing former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, in 2023.

Majors did not face prison time for the conviction, but a Manhattan criminal court judge ruled that the actor had to complete a 52-week in-person batterer’s intervention program. He was also ordered to continue his mental health therapy.

Majors, a graduate of Yale, secured his first onscreen role in the ABC miniseries When We Rise. He rose to prominence in 2019, after starring in the critically acclaimed independent feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco. His accolades continued to grow after Creed IIIAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Magazine Dreams, as well as series such as HBO horror Lovecraft Country.

But Majors saw high-profile projects fall away after his 2023 arrest. He was later dropped from future Marvel plans.

Despite the highly public convinction, Majors received an honor at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards the following year. Per the organization, the award is “given to an individual who has shown that no matter what adversity they face, they will continue to aspire to inspire.”

Now married to Megan Good, the untitled project signals a new chapter for Majors.
