JAŸ-Z is planning to make 2026 a year to remember.
The legendary rapper er has announced that he will perform back-to-back Yankee Stadium concerts to celebrate the anniversaries of his classic albums “Reasonable Doubt” and “The Blueprint.”
The first show is billed as “JAŸ-Z 30,” and the encore is called “JAŸ-Z 25 taking place on July 10 and 11th.
JAŸ-Z’S TO PAY TRIBUTE TO TWO OF HIS CLASSIC ALBUMS
Released on June 25, 1996, Reasonable Doubt is the seminal debut album in Jay-Z’s immense catalog. that fundamentally reshaped the landscape of East Coast hip-hop. Backed by soulful, production from legends like DJ Premier, DJ Clark Kent and Ski, tracks like “Dead Presidents II,” “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” ‘D’Evils” and “Feelin It” became instant classics.
Debuitng on Sept, 2001, “The Blueprint,” spent three weeks on the Billboard 200. The LP is regarded as one of the best works in the rap genre. In 2018, the record (Jay-Z’s sixth LP) was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.
JAŸ-Z TO HEADLINE THE ROOTS PICNIC
Along with his two shows at Yankee Stadium, JAŸ-Z was announced as the headliner of the Roots Picnic. The show will take place at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
Shawn Gee—Roots manager and Live Nation Urban president, described JAY-Z’s upcoming performance as a “bucket-list moment” for the team.
“After meeting with Mayor Cherelle Parker and hearing her vision for Philadelphia 250, she truly inspired us to dream even bigger. ‘And we’re grateful to her, Commissioner Susan Slawson, Jazelle Jones and everyone who helped make it happen,” Gee’s statement read. “We can’t wait to see everyone in May at the Plat.”
Presale tickets for the two-day Roots Picnic festival, taking place on May 30-31, are available now.
General on-sale starts on March 18 at 10 a.m. ET. Details on the rest of the lineup are expected to be announced this week.
