“Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together” has officially been renewed for a second season, with production kicking off this month and a premiere slated for later this year. The series became Peacock’s second highest-reaching unscripted freshman original.
The Series
The hit series offers an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at Nelly and Ashanti as they navigate life as a married couple, thriving entrepreneurs, and now parents. After tying the knot in 2023, the two welcomed their son, KK, in July 2024. This upcoming season will spotlight how they balance global careers with raising a toddler and managing a blended family dynamic.
Nelly and Ashanti first sparked a connection back in 2003, becoming one of the early 2000s’ most talked-about couples. After years of ups, downs, and time apart, the couple reunited back in 2023.
The couple have stared in their share of films. Nelly starred in the 2005 film “The Longest Yard.” His BET reality series, Nellyville ran from 2014-15, while he also appeared in Dancing With The Stars in 2020. Ashanti most notably appears in “Coach Carter,” “John Tucker Must Die,” and “Resident Evil: Extinction.”
