Eleven-time NBA All-Star, Allen Iverson is the newest subject on a Prime Video feature-length documentary.
Produced by Shaquille O’Neal and Stephen Curry prudction companies, Prime Video has greenlit the Iverson documentary which will follow his journey from his origins in Hampton, VA,to NBA stardom.
“I’m ready to tell my story my way, authentic and unapologetically. I look forward to people seeing a side of me they haven’t seen before,” said Iverson.
Iverson’s unique career journey has been well-chronicled. In 1996, he was the first pick in the same draft as Kobe Bryant. He later won Rookie Of The Year in 1997 while averaging 23.5 points and 7.5 assists. By 1998-99, he was leading the NBA with 26.8 points. Iverson was an All-Star by his fourth season and was given that honor 11 times throughout his career.

“Allen was a pioneer in the world of sports and entertainment,” O’Neal said in a press statement. “His cultural impact was bigger than basketball and this documentary sets out to properly define his legacy,”
Iverson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016 and is one considered one of the best 6-foot and under players in league history.
