After being benched in Friday’s game, Angel Reese speaks out to her fans who are speculating what may have happened.
The LSU women’s basketball star was benched during the team’s matchup against Southeastern Louisiana. In the game prior against Kent State, Reese was benched in the second half.
LSU coach, Kim Mulkey said after the game that Reese “is a part of this basketball team, and we hope she’s back with the team soon.” She added, “I’m not gonna answer any more than that.”
Reese took to social media to share her thoughts on the matter.
“Please don’t believe everything you read,” Reese tweeted after the game.
Several rumors formed online about why she could have possibly been benched.
According to 4WWL, before she was benched, Reese started LSU’s first four games. The team has three games in the next six days. There is no confirmation on when Reese will return to the court.
