Fans are demanding Ticketmaster and Live Nation issue refunds after Anita Baker’s Newark, New Jersey tour stop.
On Thursday (May 10), the legendary songstress, Anita Baker was scheduled to perform at the Prudential Center along with Babyface.
However, the show was delayed by two hours, leaving fans frustrated and disappointed. Due to the delay, they had to cancel Babyface’s performance to make room for Baker, which further exacerbated the situation.
According to the ticket-holders, the show was delayed due to technical difficulties with the sound system. As a result, frustrated fans have turned to Ticketmaster and Live Nation for refunds.
Babyface issued an apologetic statement on his Instagram. “I am truly sorry to my fans who have been waiting for us to hit the stage this evening at the Prudential Center. I was asked not to perform in order to give Ms.Baker her space and time to perform her show in its entirety.” He added, My band and I are extremely saddened we didn’t get to perform for y’all tonight 💔 “
In addition to the delay, it appears fans had issues with late seating.
Neither Ticketmaster or Live Nation have acknowledged the fans refund request.
