Every year, soul music fans from everywhere flock to the Washington D.C. area to attend The Capital Jazz Fest, one of the premier Black Music events in the country, featuring over 30 live acts over three days.
This year’s lineup for the fesitval, which celebrates 31 years, features performances by Anthony Hamilton, Kem, Chrisette Michele, Babyface, Jodeci, El DeBarge, India.Arie, Gregory Porter, Karyn White, Lalah Hathaway, Kindred The Family Soul, Raheem DeVaughn, The Jones Girls, Jon B, Switch, Leela James, Black Violin, Spyro Gyra and many more.
Taking place at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, the annual fesitval goes down the weekend of Friday, June 7th through Sunday, June 9th.
Tickets for the Jazz festival go on sale today Saturday, March 23rd at 10 a.m. ET on Ticketmaster. For anyone who wants to avoid those dreaded Ticketmaster service charges, tickets will also be available to purchase in-person at the Merriweather Post Pavilion box office starting Monday, March 25th at 10 a.m. ET.
