Mickey Lee, who competed on season 27 of Big Brother, has been hospitalized and is in “critical condition” after suffering a “series of cardiac arrests,” per a GoFundMe.
“Today, we’re coming together with heavy hearts to ask for your support,” written by page organizer, Kori Smith.
“Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition.” Kori added, “She has been surrounded by medical professionals and loved ones, but the road ahead will be long and challenging.”
Originally hailing from Jacksonville, Fla., Lee currently resides in Atlanta, according to the GoFundMe. She noted her residence in Atlanta and described herself as an “event curator” during her run on Big Brother earlier this year.
The GoFundMe has raised $15,000 of its $22,000 goal to-date.
The page did not provide any specific details on what led to the multiple cardiac arrests, but a post on her Instagram page noted it was a result of complications from the flu.
Several notable Houseguests from Big Brother appeared on the donation list for the fundraiser. Alyssa Lopez (Season 23), Joseph Abdin (Season 24), Ameerah Jones (Season 24), and Amy Bingham (Season 27) were among many show alumni offering support.
Outside of donations, Houseguests and fans alike shared well-wishes on Mickey’s Instagram page, or shared the link for her fundraiser.
The CBS reality show star quickly emerged as a fan favorite during her time on the show, winning the HoH Interrogation Power in Week 2 and ultimately becoming Head of Household. Lee was eliminated after 59 days and finished in 10th place.
Lee was a Houseguest on the show’s most recent edition, which was broadcast from July 10 through September 28. She was evicted from the home on September 4.
Big Brother follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 112 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24/7.
