R&B songbird Brandy is gifting her fans with a holiday album.
On Wednesday, (Sept 13), A&R Jaha Johnson posted a clip showing him in a studio brainstorming the album’s tracklist sequence on a whiteboard with Brandy’s rendition of “The Christmas Song” playing in the background.
“One of my favorite things to do is sequence the album. Christmas will never be the same,” Johnson wrote in a caption. His caption also hints at a possible album title, A Brandy Christmas.
Further examination of the whiteboard in the clip also gives an idea of how many songs could be included on the LP. Ramsey could be seen sticking 11 titles to the board as he attempted to place them in order.
Based on the clip, the album will feature Brandy’s rendition of classics such as “Santa Baby,” “Silent Night,” and “Someday at Christmas,” as well as original songs.
The impending project could also align with Brandy’s upcoming starring role in the Netflix original film, Best.Christmas.Ever!, Premiering November 16, the sentimental film centers Jackie, played by Brandy, whose friendship is put to a test over a boastful Holiday Newsletter.
