Carmen Bryan, a singer who had a romantic relationship with Jay-Z from 1995-2000 has come forward following rape allegations against the hip-hop mogul.
We previously reported that Jay-Z is facing severe accusations in a civil lawsuit claiming he raped a 13 year old post-2000 MTV Music Video Awards.
According to RadarOnline, after the lawsuit news broke, Carmen voiced her thoughts in an update shared on social media.
Bryan, 52, shared a post on Instagram that said: “These days people don’t defend what is right, they defend who they like! And that’s why we call you ‘groupie’”.

In another post, she also pointed out the rapper’s lyrics in his feature on Kanye West’s song Monster – threatening to “r— and pillage your village, women, and children”.
Jay-Z’s involvement with Bryan, who previously worked as an executive assistant in the record industry, spanned from 1995 to 2000. It climaxed with her pregnancy at 26, although she tragically endured a miscarriage. She eventually ended things after being left “disgusted’ by Jay-Z rapping about having sex with her in his song Supa Ugly.
During their affair, Carmen was also seeing Nas, a competitor to Jay-Z at the time. She and Nas share a 30-year old daughter, Destiny Jones.
“That was the moment I lost all respect for SC”
Additionally in recent updates, Bryan also uploaded a screenshot of an article that mentioned how Jay-Z’s alleged son is also planning on filing a lawsuit against the Young Forever musician.

Jay-Z released the track, “Supa Ugly” in 2004, and rapped about how he was intimate with Carmen in a Jeep and left behind used condoms in her daughter’s baby seat.
“Me and the boy A.I. got more in common
Than just balling and rhyming—get it? More in Carmen
I came in your Bentley backseat (Damn)
Skeeted in your Jeep (Woo)”
‘Wrong move! That was the moment I lost all respect for SC,’ she wrote, referring to the rapper by the initials of his real name, Shawn Carter.
Carmen previously confessed about the affair to Nas after the release of Memphis Bleek and Jay-Z’s track “Is That Your Chick”, a highly sexualized song about stealing another man’s partner.
After the release of the song, she said Nas called her to ask if it was about her after years of choosing not to believe rumors between the pair.
In her memoir It’s No Secret, Carmen recalled the difficult conversation with Nas. She wrote: ‘Nas, it’s true…The rumours are true. I have been seeing Jay-Z.’
During the 3am phone call, Carmen explained she and Jay-Z had been having an affair for five years after they met as friends and began an intimate relationship a year later.
