Grammy-winning artist Ciara has hinted she’s open to the idea of adding another child to her bustling family. At the recent Baby2Baby Gala in Beverly Hills, the singer shared candid insights with PEOPLE on motherhood and the joys and challenges of raising four children with her husband, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.

“Just Not Right Away,” Says Ciara on Family Expansion

“Oh my gosh, it is turned up,” Ciara joked. “I have a kid on every corner. Oh my Lord, pray for me sometimes.” Despite the high energy her household demands, Ciara admitted she’s not entirely ruling out a fifth child, though she’s not rushing into it. “Russ keeps walking around going like this, like, ‘Cinco,’” she said with a laugh, referring to her husband’s hope for a fifth child. “And I’m like, ‘High five, I love you too.’ I think we’ll make it to five, but this mom needs a little time. Just a little bit.”

The couple shares three children together: daughter Sienna, 7, son Win, 4, and nearly one-year-old daughter Amora, born in December 2023. Ciara is also mom to Future Zahir, her 10-year-old son from a previous relationship with rapper Future.

Ciara and Wilson’s playful back-and-forth about adding another child is nothing new. In October, Wilson hinted at his eagerness for a bigger family when he left a comment on one of Ciara’s Instagram posts, writing, “I’m ready when you are.” He even suggested a name, adding, “We can call him Cinco.”

The pair, who married in 2016, recently celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. Reflecting on their journey together, Wilson posted a touching tribute to Ciara on social media, calling her “the most incredible gift.” He added, “Celebrating 8 years of God’s love & grace over us… I am so grateful for our journey together. Here’s to a lifetime more.”

At the gala, Ciara joined other celebrities supporting Baby2Baby’s mission to aid children living in poverty. The star-studded evening celebrated 13 years of the organization’s commitment to providing essentials for underserved youth across the country.

While the question of a fifth child remains open, Ciara’s message was clear: family is her focus, but she’s enjoying the present moment before making any new plans. “This mom needs a little time,” she said with a smile, acknowledging the beautiful but busy life she and Wilson share.
