Coco Jones recently shared the progress of her wedding plans.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Jones says she is officially in her “romantic, girly” era.
In July, Jones and Donovan Mitchell announced their engagement on social media.
Jones said that being engaged is “amazing,” but wedding planning is “definitely so new.”
“I’ve worn dresses, and I’ve planned events and all of those things before in my job. But this is like an indescribable feeling to be planning a whole wedding,” she says. “It’s amazing. I’m really excited.”
When asked if there are any non-negotiables with her planning, Jones named one.
“I need my glam to be sickening,” Jones responded.
Jones also “really” wants her day to be intimate.”
“Like, ever since I was a little girl. I knew I was going to be this performer,” Jones said. “But I really wanted that moment to be just for me, me, not about views or clicks or sales. “So I hope that it can be really intimate, really special.”
Jones added that she wants to create space for her to feel “vulnerable with all the people around.”
The Grammy winner also shared where she keeps her trophy.
“I keep all my stuff nowhere that I live just because, And i don’t know, looking at awards of mine makes me feel weird,” she said. “ I’m like, “What?” I don’t know. But I just feel like I have so much more to go that I don’t like to see them.”
“But my fiancé is like, ‘I want to keep some of them,’ Jones continued. “So he has some of them now. He wants to put them up so he can see them.”
Jones previously stated that being engaged to Mitchell was the biggest contract she ever signed.
”I think about my life so much like a business. And I’m like, ‘Girl, you’ve got to stop,” Jones explained. “This is the biggest contract I’ve ever signed.’ You know what I’m saying? This is a real-life, forever commitment.”
