Actress Kimberly Elise has announced that she has made the step to tie the knot once more.
The Tyler Perry movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman alum shared the news with her followers of her marriage with husband, George E. McCrary.
Kimberly Elise’s New Marriage
In the lengthy caption, she explained how the two of them met and how their connection led to their big day.
“I’m so joyful to share wonderful news with you,” Elise began. “After being introduced by our pastor last winter, a beautiful courtship, falling in love, and lots of prayer, we became engaged. Then, on August 19, 2023, we were blessed to become husband and wife. We made a covenant of holy matrimony before our closest friends, family, and most importantly before God.”
Elise then explained in the caption that neither of them were originally looking for love. According to her, the two were on their own journeys, “in obedience to God.” When they met, they knew they were meant for each other.
In the post, she shared images and videos of the ceremony. The actress wore a beautiful white gown and pin curls to the intimate event.
She concluded the post with bible scriptures that described the holy matrimony.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
She also included scriptures from the books of John and Colossians.
This isn’t the first time the Kimberly Elise was married. She previously was wed to Maurice Oldham. The two were married from 1989 to 2005. From their marriage, they gave birth to two daughters. One was born in 1990 and the other in 1998. The two divorced in 2007. Oldham died shortly after from a massive blood clot.
