The children of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter speak out about the memoir allegedly written by Porter.
Christian Combs, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, and Quincy Brown, released a joint statement addressing any speculation surrounding their late mother.
“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not,” they wrote in a statement. “And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves.”
This statement comes after reports state that publisher and producer, Chris Todd, claimed that Porter shared a file with her writings with “close friends.” The file allegedly contains information about her relationship with the media mogul.
The alleged writings turned into a 60-page memoir titled, “Kim’s Lost Words,” however, many have discredited it online.
“Please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend,” the children’s statement continued. “Nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Their statement also addresses the speculation surrounding their mother’s untimely passing in 2018. “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play.”
“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.”
Kim Porter passed away in 2018 at 47 after battling pneumonia.
