Diddy To Receive The Global Icon Award At This Year’s VMAs

Diddy is set to receive a huge honor at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. 

MTV announced that the media mogul will be the recipient of the Global Icon Award. He is also nominated for other awards such as “Best Rap”, “Best R&B”, and “Best Collaboration.”  In true Diddy fashion, he will hit the stage to perform, his first time since his 2005 tribute to the Notorious B.I.G with Snoop Dogg.

This appearance comes as Diddy is getting ready to release his first studio album in 17 years, The Love Album: Off The Grid. He recently released the tracklist which will include features from Mary J. Blige, Coco Jones, Swae Lee, Summer Walker, the late J.Dilla, and more. 

Diddy shared the trailer for his upcoming release of his album on social media and wrote, “The key to any great album are the people that you work with! Through this process I’ve had the blessing to work with some of the best talent in the game! From hall of famers to future hall of famers. Thank you for your time, thank you for your energy, thank you for your LOVE!

The Video Music Awards will take place at the Prudential Center on September 12 at 8 p.m.
