Eric Benét and his 11 year-old daughter Luna shared a heartfelt moment at the In A Perfect World Foundation’s (IAPW) 20th-anniversary celebration.

The IAPW Foundation, founded by Benét’s wife Manuela Testolini, helps kids unlock and reach their full potential. This year, the foundation celebrated two decades of building and donating to schools, fostering leadership and hosting workshops.

At the event, the dad and daughter duo could be seen taking the stage in a social video posted to Instagram. Benét and his daughter gave a touching rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror.” Luna wearing a gold dress, came in for the second half of the first verse instantly stealing the spotlight.

“She’s soooo super talented!! Definitely in the genes!” one person wrote in the comment section of Benét’s Instagram post.

Lenny Green added, “She’s headed to GREATNESS! Proud Dad I know your heart is overwhelmed.”

Luna’s mic was seemingly inaudible in the beginning. Benét wrote on the video, “Luna’s mic was off in the beginning. I’m sorry but somebody gotta get unalived for this.”

An Instagram user noticed this and still cheered Luna on. “I love how professional she is. She did not stop singing though someone else goofed. That’s a life lesson for everyone. Good job!”

Benét has three daughters in total. He shares Lucia Bella and Amoura Luna with Manuela and India Benét with late girlfriend Tami Stauff.

The Grammy nominated star recently released his ninth studio album The Co-star, comprising duets with women artists on each track. The album marks Benét’s first full-length project since his self-titled album, released in 2016.
