Garcelle Beauvais has announced that she will be leaving Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After being on the show for five years, the actress said that she will not be returning after season 14. Beauvais made the shocking announcement in a video she shared on her Instagram.

“Hey guys, so I have some news, I’ve decided to leave Beverly Hills,” she said. “It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride.”

She went on to share her reason for leaving the show. “Nevertheless, one of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family. My boys, their last year in high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that. And Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that too. And secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing, and acting, and I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”

Beauvais concluded the video by thanking her supporters which included her fellow costars and more. “The door will always be open, so you never know,” she continued. “I might pop back in some time. To the fans, I want to say, thank you so much. You guys have cheered me on, supported me, and sometimes even fought for me or on my behalf. It means a lot, and I hope you guys will continue on this journey with me. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.”

Garcelle Beauvis joined the show in 2020 and revealed what viewers can expect from her.

First of all, I’ve been a fan of the show. I’ve obviously been friends with Denise Richards for over 20 years, friends with Lisa Rinna a very long time as well,” she said in an interview. “So being a fan, and then when it came up, I thought immediately…My team was like, ‘Oh, we’re gonna pass,’ and I said, ‘Wait a minute, wait a minute! Let me let me sit on this for a minute.’ And I thought, you know what, why not do something outside of the box, right?”

She continued, as she talked about diversifying the cast. “I think it’s about time and I don’t really know why they didn’t do it before. I’m glad it’s me,” she said. “I think it’s about time. I think we all want to see ourselves represented in all aspects of life, right? So I think when they came to me, the timing was right, and I was happy. I was happy to get on board.”

We are wishing her well in her future endeavors.
