In a shocking new allegation, media personality Gloria Velez says an NFL player tried to rape her during an after-party hosted by Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell. She made the claims in a recent interview, describing the event as deeply traumatic and long suppressed.

Gloria Velez Accusation

Velez says the assault occurred late in the evening. She recalls the player invited her upstairs, saying, “Let’s talk upstairs.” Once there, she alleges, “he tried to rape me.” She adds, “I told him, ‘No, stop.’” According to her recollection, he was persistent despite her refusal.

She also claims that following the incident, Uncle Luke and others offered her “a lot of money” to remain silent. Those offers, she says, were attempts to contain the fallout.

Campbell has publicly denied wrongdoing. On Instagram Live, he said, “We know the rules and the regulations of this shit,” referencing legal protocols when working with minors. He challenged Velez’s narrative by demanding clarity, saying, “Bring all the smoke. I ain’t hard to find.”

Velez, for her part, insists the claims are not fabricated for attention. She told VladTV she never met figures like Gene Deal who have claimed to possess damaging tapes. She called those assertions attempts at publicity.

The story has reignited scrutiny of how power and celebrity intersect — especially in cases involving sexual assault claims. Velez’s account marks one of the few times a public figure has named an NFL player, though she has not publicly identified him.

Velez has previously spoken about her teenage years working with Campbell’s 2 Live Crew as a backup dancer. Her new claims appear intertwined with broader narratives she has shared about her past

Legal experts say such allegations are difficult to substantiate years later, but they emphasize the importance of reporting and investigation. Without more corroboration, the claim may remain contested.

No public records or legal filings have confirmed whether Velez has formally accused the player or filed a complaint. Representatives for the NFL, the unnamed player, and Campbell did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
