Gov. Cuomo Increases Fine For Violating Social Distancing Rules

Earlier today during a briefing, New York Governor Cuomo addressed some rumors and gave updates about the coronavirus.

We reported the story earlier, Gov. Cuomo denied the story of the city planning to bury people in parks. Also, he announced that he’s increasing the fine for people who violate the state-mandated order of social distancing. It was previously $500 and now it’s $1000. In a Tweet, he enforced that people should stay home and that we “underestimated the enemy since day one.” He went on to say that this isn’t a time “to be lax.”

New York will continue to be on pause until April 29. Public health is the main concern therefore schools and non-essentials businesses will remain closed.
