Halle Bailey has deactivated her social media accounts following backlash over comments she made regarding her child’s unexpected appearance on a live stream. The incident began when Bailey’s ex-partner, YouTuber and rapper DDG, appeared on Twitch with their infant son, Halo, during a live event hosted by Kai Cenat. The event, Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2,” drew millions of viewers, which Bailey says caused her concern over Halo’s public exposure.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bailey voiced her disapproval, explaining that she hadn’t been informed about the livestream. “Hi everyone. Just so you know, I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” she wrote, adding, “I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.” Bailey emphasized her role as a protective mother, saying, “I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.”

Bailey, who has been open about her experiences with postpartum, also expressed how the incident added to her stress. “As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected,” she posted, underscoring that people rarely understand what someone is going through until they “snap.”

Fans Divided Over Halle Bailey Reaction

Bailey’s comments sparked heated debate online, with some fans supporting her and others calling her out for publicly airing personal grievances. “Girl why tf you telling us?” one Instagram user commented, adding, “Call your baby daddy and take that up with him.” Another user remarked that Bailey’s reaction seemed “a lil controlling,” suggesting that it was unreasonable to criticize DDG for appearing on a stream with his own son.

Yet, some fans empathized with Bailey. “The internet is mean… and very harsh. I’d be uncomfortable too,” wrote one supporter. Others pointed out the unique protective instincts that new mothers often feel. “She obviously feels disrespected, and her postpartum is making it worse,” another fan noted, adding that Bailey’s reaction was understandable for a first-time mom.

Hours after sharing her frustrations, Bailey chose to deactivate her Instagram and X accounts. This marks another chapter in Bailey and DDG’s highly publicized breakup, which occurred just weeks before Halo’s first birthday.
