Jamie Foxx gave Michael B. Jordan all the flowers after his Oscar win on Sunday night.
Taking to Instagram, Foxx expressed his sincere admiration and love for Jordan’s big moment.
“I can barely breathe right now… ” You were absolutely incredible in this film,” Foxx wrote. “An amazing actor, an amazing director — truly all of the above. Tonight we celebrate you: your talent, your mystique, and your incredible passion for the craft.”
“Honestly, you deserve two Oscars for this one. When I sat down to watch the movie, I already knew it was going to be special the moment I saw a pair of Jordans on screen,” Foxx continued. “Then the first line — “Are you guys twins?” and you hit us with, “No… we cousins!” — man, I was locked in from there.”
Foxx promised that Jordan’s after-party will be epic.
“Congratulations, my brother @michaelbjordan. You’re operating in rare air right now,” said Foxx. “Celebrate it to the fullest… and trust me, the after-party is going to be crazy.”
Words can’t express how proud I am of you. You deserve this and so much more. Congratulations, my brother,” Foxx wrote in another post.

In his speech, Jordan paid tribute to several of the Black actors who won Academy Awards, including Foxx.
“I stand here because of the people that came before me: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, Forest Whitaker, Will Smith. And to be amongst those giants, amongst those great greats, amongst my ancestors, amongst my guys,” Jordan declared.
“Thank you, everybody, in this room and everybody at home, to support me over my career. I feel it,” continued Jordan. “I know you guys want me to do well, and I want to do that because you guys bet on me.”
